PCB Demanded More Than 4 Matches In Pakistan For Asia Cup 2023 Will Raise The Issue In Upcoming ACC Meet


Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan Cricket Board: All the cricket lovers are eagerly announcing the schedule of Asia Cup 2023. It has not been released yet due to a new demand from the Pakistan Cricket Board. The upcoming Asia Cup to be played under the hybrid model is to be held from 31 August to 17 September. In this, the first 4 matches of the tournament will be played in Pakistan. And the remaining 9 matches will be held in Sri Lanka.

This model was accepted by all the members of the Asian Cricket Council. The decision to organize the tournament under this model was taken after the Indian team decided not to play in Pakistan. Now after taking over the post of new PCB chief Zaka Ashraf, Pakistan is demanding more matches.

Regarding the delay in the Asia Cup schedule, a PCB source said in a statement to PTI that Pakistan will raise the issue of hosting more matches in the ACC meeting to be held on July 16. Considering the possibility of rain at the time of matches in Sri Lanka, more matches should be held in Pakistan.

There can be a fight between India and Pakistan in Dambulla

In the upcoming Asia Cup, a match can be played between India and Pakistan on the ground of Dambulla. It is believed that there will be 2 matches, in which one group match while the other can be in the Super-4 stage. At the same time, PCB is trying to organize Asia Cup matches in Multan Stadium so that the stadium looks more crowded due to its small size. Where India, Pakistan and Nepal are in the same group in the upcoming Asia Cup. On the other hand, the team of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan is included in the second group.
